Sky had created an unrivalled range of quality movies matching every need, mood and occasion for Christmas 2020 and wanted to generate hype, awareness & excitement amongst Sky TV customers to upgrade to Sky Cinema.
We wanted to show Sky customers that if their subscription is the roast turkey, Sky Cinema was the gravy, cranberry sauce, roasties and sprouts that transform it into a Christmas feast. So, whatever their taste, they can always find the movies to make their Christmas.
To do this, we targeted our audience in a number of engaging ways through social channels. We showcased the wide variety of premium titles through a series of carousels that show how Sky Cinema is the solution for whatever you want your Christmas to be.
We read people’s minds (actually, their expressions) with an Instagram AI filter that ‘analyses’ your face and selects a Sky Cinema movie for you, dependent on your mood / expression. This included a fun Instagram Story that shows off the filter, showcasing some of the films and telling people where to find them.
We also took the viewers on a fun Twitter adventure. This was achieved with a series of options that guided Sky subscribers along a path based on their interests, tastes and moods and resulted in them finding their perfect festive movie.
