The Challenge
To produce an exciting UK and IRE campaign for the theatrical launch of Disney's Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, targeting four different audiences:
1. New fans of the Star Wars franchise
2. Fans who have followed the Star Wars franchise lightly
3. Core, engaged fans
4. Disengaged fans of the franchise
Creative strategy
With this being the third and final chapter of a cultural phenomenon, our campaign had to be of the first order.
Celebrating the Star Wars legacy, our epic campaign spanned DOOH, OOH, Trade, TV, VOD, Press, Radio, Digital Audio, Digital and EMEA, plus adaptations for IRE's AV and Radio campaign. AV assets focused on music and dialogue to set up the anticipation, intrigue and emotion. Keeping the campaign innovative but simple, we created relevancy with audiences.
Some assets went live during the election, and whilst we didn't specifically mention it, our press hinted towards it:

The Premiere
Our experiential and events partner Nibbs Events oversaw the London premiere at Cineworld Leicester Square, the post premiere party and eight regional premieres around the country. From event management to production logistics and VIP/talent liaison. The hotly anticipated London premiere featured the film’s biggest stars and attracted a whole host of celebrities and Star Wars fans.

Results
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has generated more than $1 Billion at the Global Box Office, giving Disney seven of the nine billion-dollar earners launched in 2019 and breaking Disney’s record.
